Remove EXIF and GPS data from photos
A photo can carry where you live. Metadata shows which files carry EXIF, XMP or IPTC and removes it, losslessly, before you share them.

What Metadata does
- Removes EXIF (including GPS), XMP, IPTC, comments and PNG text chunks
- Never re-encodes the image and keeps the colour profile, so nothing looks different
- JPEG keeps its orientation, so portrait photos stay upright
- TIFF and HEIC rewrites are checked against the original image data; if a check fails the file is left as it was
- Drop files or whole folders and see progress per file
- Writes cleaned copies by default and never overwrites existing files
- Overwriting originals asks first, writes safely and can keep a backup
- Runs on your computer: no upload, no account
